My Experience With Foretell Mediums

October 30, 2013, 12:00 AM

By: Erin

I figured in the spirit of Halloween (no pun intended) I would write a bit about a few experiences I’ve had with some of Foretell’s mediums. I guess I should give a little bit of my story in a nutshell before going into the details about my reading.

In August 2011 I lost my best friend. It broke me. I had spent everyday with him until the morning before he was killed I had to leave town for a job interview and I told him to wait for me and don’t go anywhere until I get back. Unfortunately he didn’t listen because he had some things that were very dear to him that he needed to get back from someone from his past and next thing I know… I get a phone call…

I never felt any kind of closure. I was so angry and hurt and confused… I still am, but not as much, because after talking to a few different mediums I over the last 2 years about it they are able to tell me that he is finally okay with where he is, so I should be too.

The first time I read with one of Foretell’s mediums they said he wasn’t ready to go and he was angry that he was where he was and went the way he did. And I knew it was true because he wanted so much out of life. She told me that he didn’t want me to be angry though. I thought that was, in a way funny, because he knew that at that time I was so blinded by rage that I would stop at nothing to bring the person that contributed to his death down.

“He has a message for you” the psychic said.

“Really?” I asked. At this point I was crying there was no hiding it.

“He said to tell you ‘for now just let it be…’”

I lost it. There was no doubt in my mind that this was my best friend connecting with me through this medium. The Beatles were his favorite band and he was buried in a Beatles shirt, at his memorial service his service card had the lyrics to “Let It Be” on the back and they played the song before the burial.

My second time speaking to a Foretell medium was about six or seven months after my reading with the first psychic. Also, this time I was testing a potential psychic for our line so I had, what I call, “my wall” up. I’m a very hard read because I don’t give anything away and “my wall” helps tell me if these psychics have true gifts and will be able to read someone who is tough to read.

At first I asked for a general reading. He was very accurate in everything that he was telling me and touched on a lot of stuff that had actually just come up in my life that week career wise. Then he asked if there was anything else I wanted to focus on and I asked if there was anyone on the other side that he saw around me.

He started describing a tall, slender, light skinned male with brown hair and eyes who looked to be in his early 20’s. I gasped. I knew right away it was my best friend. The psychic began to tell me that this young gentleman had a great light around him. He then asked me “did your friend have another close friend or brother that passed as well? He is with another gentleman a bit older than him and I feel they have a very close bond, almost brother-like.”

I got very choked up because my friend’s older brother had passed away a few years back. I guess hearing that I was a bit choked up the psychic told me “I believe your friend is passing me this message of him and this person to say that he is happy where he is. He is with someone he loves.”

The third and most recent reading I got with one of Foretell’s mediums, even though almost six months ago now, still sticks in my head as if it was yesterday and was the last reading I got about my friend. I got so much closure from this particular reading. When I first asked this particular psychic to tune into my friend she got very silent and I heard her voice break a bit like she was almost scared to ask me the next few words…

“I’m sorry.” She said. I remember hearing the words come out of her mouth and just the way she said this sticks with me to this day. “Forgive me but this whole situation I’m seeing is just – terrible. Your friend was taken very spitefully, wasn’t he?” I answered

“Yes.” After she described a bit about him and the situation and how he felt about it and what he wanted me to get out of it I felt a great weight lifted off of my heart.

The next part of my reading really touched me. She asked “do you feel him when you’re driving?” I laughed and said “you might think this is crazy but I actually see him sometimes in my rear view mirror and feel him all the time when I am in my car.” She said “well he is telling me he is always with you in the car because that’s where you are most free and happy and he wants me to tell you that he misses your drives and listening to music and most specifically your ‘little talks’ if that means something to you.”

I thought that was awesome because there is a song called Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men that actually didn’t get famous until a while after he passed away and whenever I hear it I cry and think of my friend and I send a kiss to the sky for him.

About 4 days before he passed we were staying in a hotel and we made each other beaded bracelets and I wore the one he made me until it broke. They were just made out of cheap string and little beads but when it broke I kept it in a drawer but I didn’t know where it was because I had moved several times. Anyways, I hate to say it but I had forgotten about this bracelet…

The psychic began to tell me at the end of the reading “we only have about a minute left but your friend wants me to tell you that he made you something before he passed, it’s black and red…look for it in a black shoe box or a black box of some sort.”

Our call got cut off at that point. After the call I was rearranging some things in my desk drawer and I have a black box-like drawer organizer for my desk drawer and I actually keep one of his service cards from his viewing in my drawer and I picked up the service card and under it was the broken bracelet. I had told one of the other girls in the office about my reading before hand and when I found the bracelet I just sat there open mouthed and lifted it up and looked at her.

“Oh my God.” Was all I could say for about 20 minutes. I told her where I found it and she said “wow, that was fast.”
I have found so much comfort working with the mediums at Foretell. They truly are gifted. I know it is a touchy subject and people don’t understand why someone would want to communicate or channel someone on the other side but sometimes people just need to find closure and know that their loved ones are okay.

Thank you to all of Foretell’s wonderful mediums who have helped me and others find closure and comfort in these matters.

Dracula: Still a Mystery

October 23, 2013, 12:00 AM

By: Alex

Since it’s almost Halloween, I thought I would write about Dracula. Well, not Dracula per se, but a very famous historical character upon whom the legend of Dracula is based.

Dracula means “Son of the Dragon.” Dracula was known in Romania as Vlad Tepes (“Vlad the Impaler”) or Vlad III, Voivode of Wallachia, a region of modern day Romania. His father, Vlad II, was a knight in the Order of the Dragon, and was charged by the Pope with protecting Christianity from it’s enemies. Vlad Tepes inherited this throne of his land in 1447 when his father was murdered.

At the time, the Ottoman Turks were trying to overtake Romania. Vlad Tepes refused to to pay tribute to them. This enraged Sultan Mehmed II, who sent thousands of troops to overtake Romania. because Vlad had actually lived with the sultan as a younger man and spoke their language, he knew their methods and he could infiltrate their camps easily. This caused a lot of havoc. In another scenario the Turks actually retreated after seeing thousands of their country men impaled at one location. It turns out that impaling was a Turkish custom that Vlad Tepes adopted. I think he might have done this as part of psychological warfare.

The reason I am writing about this is that I had a past life with Vlad Tepes. I was there in his army. I think he was a relative. I remember being in a cave that had bats in it. I think we were on horses. We were waiting for the sultan’s army to arrive and we were trying to stay hidden so that we would have the element of surprise when we attacked. This resulted in incredible devastation. Most legends have an element of truth to them. Over time, some details get lost or twisted, and others exaggerated. I could easily see how the details of such accounts (like being in a cave filled with bats) would give rise to the Dracula character in Bram Stoker’s book.

Unfortunately, mixed in with all this was a great deal of secrecy. I have trouble remembering much more than what I have already related. I don’t know if that’s because it was so horrible, whether I just don’t want to or whether part of it was due to our oath of secrecy. what I am trying to figure out is whether what was said of Vlad Tepes was true. Some called him a murderer and others considered him a saint. There were apparently two sets of stories published (most likely by his enemies) in Germany. I think this first account is what Bram Stoker used for Dracula. The other set was published in Russia and painted him in a more favorable light, as a hero and savior to the people. I think he is still well thought of in Romania as a savior to the people to this day.

Vlad Tepes loved Romania, which was an incredibly beautiful place. He did everything he could to keep the Turks out of it because he knew what would happen otherwise. He had also sworn an oath to protect Christianity. He felt that the Romanian noblemen were largely responsible for the downfall of Romania and he wanted to punish them for it. In the end though, they betrayed him and he lost his life. Although his methods were extreme, they were justified in his mind. Vlad Tepes is still a mystery to me, and I think, to a lot of other people. the Dracula character is obviously an exaggeration of who he was, but there are some elements of truth in it.

I hope some day this mystery gets solved and we find out the truth about him so that all this can be put to rest. Will the real Vlad Tepes please step forward?

Scorpio Style

October 22, 2013, 12:00 AM

By: Erin

Scorpios are known for being very powerful, mysterious, intense and fearless people. They have confidence for days and are not afraid to try new looks and show some skin. Scorpios radiate sex and danger and their style shows it. Scorpios are very mysterious beings and they like dark, bold, and solid pieces are staples in their wardrobe. One of the things that Scorpios love the most is to strike when people least expect it so and it shows when it comes to accessorizing. They love to push the boundaries of fashion but always look fierce!

The Everyday Look

I decided to use Orange Is The New Black star Taryn Manning as our celebrity inspiration for this look for a number of reasons but mainly because she radiates sex and intensity. Taryn, who’s birthday falls on November 6th, is a great representation of Scorpio style. She chose a very low cut shimmery mini-skirt dress that shows a lot of cleavage and a lot of leg. Scorpios will take any opportunity to show off some skin, and this low cut dress is doing just that.

For most Scorpios, black needs to be incorporated into their outfit somehow. Taryn’s black cropped leather jacket adds an awesome “bad girl” touch. When it comes to their feet, Scorpio women love boots. Boots of any kind will do. Scorpios have to have a couple pairs of boots in their closet. Taryn’s low cut black boots are a great touch to the outfit and she looks absolutely amazing.

A Night On The Town

Expect to see a lot of bold fashion on the red carpet from our next celebrity Scorpio Jena Malone. She’s staring in the second installment of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. In this picture Jena is on the money with her short sexy black dress. The top of the dress has bold, unique embellishments that add a very creative spin to the “little black dress” that every woman should have in their closet.

She’s got Scorpio’s signature look down by showing off her shoulders and long legs. Scorpio women love a great pair of heels. Stilettos, pumps, sling backs, you name it – the key is, they like unique looks. Jena chose a very sexy and fun strapped-heel sandal with a cuffed ankle to add a bit of edge. The shoes are perfect to show off her colorful pedicure to keep it fun.

When it come to accessorizing, Scorpios reign. Much like their outfits (and their personalities) their accessories need to make a BIG statement. Scorpio females love belts, scarves and they’re known for their variety of oversized handbags to go with every outfit. Scorpio women love to draw attention to their seductive eyes and often wear cat rimmed classes or Jackie-O style sunglasses.

Who accessorizes better than the star of E!’s Fashion Police Kelly Osbourne? Well, In my opinion, nobody. This woman is the Queen of all Scorpios. She has it all; the mystery, magnetism, creativity, and she is adventurous when it come to trying new styles. The female Scorpio loves to compliment her outfits with big, bold jewelry like bangled bracelets, huge arm cuffs and large rings. In this picture our purple-tressed goddess is rocking a huge black stone studded ring that matches the studded embellishments on the top of her black dress. Even her manicure is an accessory in this case. She has come a long way from her teen years and now is a style star. Go Kelly!

Too Much to Do? Too Little Time?

Hey – Did someone press the FFW button?

Have you ever felt like someone just pressed the Fast-forward button on your day and before you know it the day is over and you are sitting there wondering what you’ve accomplished?

I love to organize and with working Part Time outside of the home and FULL-TIME at home with my business, 4 children and partner I really rely on a schedule and many time management tips to keep my sanity (ok, so some of you think I am already insane, I won’t argue with that) but at least I am organized ;)

Here are a few of my favorite Time management Tips:

1. Meal Planning: Try planning 1 – 2 weeks worth of meals at a time and write them down on a calendar. Do your shopping accordingly and prep tomorrows dinner today. You will be AMAZED at what a time saver this is.

2. To-Do Lists: I know most people HATE them but they actually do work. Just take a few moments out of your day (either in the morning or in the evening) to make a list for that day or the following day. Be sure to only put down the items that you MUST finish on this list.

3. Delegate: Do you have friends, a husband, children that can pitch in and do a few things for you? If so, be sure to use all of your resources.

4. Morning Rush: Scooting the children out of the door can be a huge time eater! Be sure to prepare lunches, lay out clothes and plan your breakfast the night before. This will make your mornings run a tad smoother.

5. Just say “NO”!: Such a small word that carries a might punch! If you truly can’t fit something into your schedule and it is not urgent, just say No!. Keep a list of non-urgent things that you can do on hand for when you do have some down time.

Well, those are just a few of my time management tips. I personally set aside about 15 minutes a night and sit down with my Palm Pilot and make a short TO-DO list for the following day and it is amazing at the time this save.

Also be mindful of your own body. Are you a morning, afternoon or night person? Try to schedule your most time consuming tasks when you have the most energy.

Cheap DIY Halloween Decorations

October 16, 2013, 12:00 AM

By: Erin

Here are some fun Halloween decorations that you can make yourself that won’t break the bank. I like a lot of these because it’s actually just using stuff from around the house that you already have. Are your Halloween decorations a bit dated or falling apart? Instead of going out and spending a fortune on decorations this year, get the family or a group of friends together and try out some of these fun and easy projects.

Spooky Eyes

What You’ll Need:

-Old toilet paper rolls
-Glow Sticks
*optional* Black paint

1. Take your old toilet paper rolls and cut evil eye shapes into them. *optional* paint tubes black.
2. Place a glow stick into each toilet paper roll and tape it in place. This not only prevents the glow stick from falling out but it will also help add weight to the roll so when you go to place it in the bushes and trees it wont blow away.
3. Place the toilet paper rolls in bushes, trees, under porches, in barns, etc. and enjoy the spookiness.

Ghostly Gallons

What You’ll Need:
-A few empty milk jugs
-Black permanent marker
-Flame-less candles

1. Draw fun or scary faces on the front of your milk jug with your black marker.
2. Take your scissors and cut a hole in the lower back side of the jug big enough to slide 1 or 2 flameless candles in (depending on how dim or bright you want them)
3. Place the flame-less candles in the jug and enjoy.

**You can also use colorful glow sticks if you want to make monster face jugs using the same process.**

Fallen Witch

What You’ll Need:

-1 Pair of Striped Thigh High Stockings
-1 Pair of Black Thigh High Stockings
-An old pair of heeled shoes
-Wire (a wire hanger will do)
-Stuffing or Padding
*optional* Gold Felt-like material for the buckles on the shoes.

1. Form your wire into the shape of the legs.
2. Wrap the padding you chose around the wire pulling it very tight to make sure you get a good form then put your molded witch legs into the black stockings to add smoothness. Knot any excess stocking at the top.
3. Put your striped thigh high stockings onto your witch legs and you can start to adjust the padding through the stockings to make it look the way you want.
4. Put legs into your desired location then add the shoes and enjoy.

9 Ways to Date on a Budget

October 14, 2013, 12:00 AM

By: Joy Mall

From spending on gas to buying movie tickets to paying for the check at a fancy restaurant to having scrumptious desserts and coffee—going out on dates can get extremely expensive. Although these are what people usually do, you do not have to do the same in order to go out on a proper date if it means breaking the bank. There are plenty of alternatives and options that are affordable and as entertaining that you can go on with your loved one. Check your credit report prior to your date so you can set aside a budget and choose the best option which suits your budget best. Besides, the most important thing that should only matter about going on a date is how you spend your time with your date. A date should be measured by how much fun and enjoyable it is and not by how much you are spending. Listed below are some frugal date ideas that you could try.

1. Cook for each other at home- Dining out in a fancy restaurant can take a toll on your budget. Instead of doing this every single weekend, why not opt to cook for each other at home? This will be a fun way to spend time and bond with your loved one without having to spend a fortune.

2. Have your own movie night- Instead of treating your loved one to a movie night, try to have a movie night at home instead. This will not only be a good, cost-effective way to spend time with your loved one but you will also be able to talk to each other and be cuddly each other while you do so without bothering anybody.

3. Go on picnic or to museums- When you go out on a picnic at a park, you can have all the time for yourselves, unlike in restaurants. You can take your time in talking to each other and doing whatever you want. You could also spend time in museums where you can learn new things which you can discuss with your date. The good thing about these amenities is that they are free and can be visited anytime.

4. Take advantage of open mic nights- If you wish for something more fun and exciting, look for schedules of bars which offer open mic nights. This will be a good way for you and your date to unwind minus the cost.

5. Join the neighbors- Neighbors often get together every week to play board games, trivia nights, cards, etc. Regardless of what it is they play, you can invite your date to join your neighbors for a fun, enjoyable night of games.

6. Plan a trip together- Plan a trip together with your date. This will fuel excitement and enthusiasm which will give you both a good time. Share pictures together and the destinations you want to visit. Regardless of whether you do pursue the trip or not will depend on your budget. If you cannot afford it right now, then this is a good motivator and will serve as a goal for the both of you.

7. Visit the mall- The mall might seem to be an expensive date venue but the trick of having a fun time at the mall without draining your wallet is this: you and your date should bring only $5 or $10 then look around for gifts that you can give to each other. Not only will this be fun but will also refrain you from spending a lot of money.

8. Take advantage of roller skating or ice skating rinks- Roller skating and ice skating rinks are usually free but if not, they are relatively cheap which makes them a very affordable idea.

9. Visit the arcade- Nothing beats the arcade when it comes to having fun and you can never be too old to play games at one. You and your date could go at an arcade and play numerous games.

Going out on dates can really be expensive; therefore, it would be good to try out the affordable date ideas mentioned above so you and your date can not only try something new but also something twice as fun minus the pricey costs.

Witches Brew Trifle Recipe

October 9, 2013, 12:00 AM

By: Erin

I found this recipe on Pinterest last year and made it for a Halloween party I attended and it was an absolute hit! It’s super easy and doesn’t take a lot of time or money to make which is something everyone can appreciate. It looks cool and tastes great!

What is Witches Brew?

It’s simple. Witches Brew is made with layers of brownies, Bavarian creme, and raspberry (or strawberry) preserve whichever you prefer.

What You Will Need:

1 Large Glass/Plastic serving bowl

1 Box of Brownie Mix and necessary ingredients or store bought pre-made brownies work too.

2 Boxes of Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix

Heavy Whipping Creme

Green Food Coloring

Gummy candies (bugs, body parts, eyeballs, etc.)

How To Make:

1. Bake your brownie mix according to the directions on the box. When they are cooled, cut into tiny squares and set aside.

2. Take your 2 boxes of vanilla instant pudding mix and mix in 2 quarts of heavy whipping creme. Whip until you get a nice fluffy texture. **While you are whipping slowly add green food coloring until you get the color you want.**

This is where we start to put it all together. Grab your large glass/plastic bowl. It’s time to brew.

3. Add a single layer off your chopped up brownies to the bottom of your trifle bowl and cover with a thin layer with the preserve of our choosing (raspberry or strawberry) then add a layer of your whipped Bavarian creme.

4. Repeat step 3 until you have used all of your ingredients and your trifle bowl is filled.

5. Add your spooky Halloween gummy treats to add the final touches. You can also add gel icing or Halloween sprinkles for added decoration as an option.

Depending on the amount of people and the size of bowl you will have to be the judge of how thick your layers will be. You can eye it up as you go. The good thing about this Halloween party treat is that if you find you have too much room remaining at the top of your trifle dish you can add more Halloween props and toys  or edibles.

Be creative with it. Play around a bit. You can add your own twists and don’t have to stick to the exact recipe you can add your own spin. People will love it because it’s unique and your tasty treat will be the hit of the party. Nobody needs to know it only took you 20 minutes.

Intuition Power In Three Steps

October 7, 2013, 12:00 AM

By: Maposa Nkhuwa

Have you ever used your intuition to solve problems? Can you trust your intuition? Can you improve it?

What Is Intuition?

Intuition is simply a feeling, sense, or hunch based on information not available to your conscious mind. Some say this comes from the ether or wherever, but I’m content to believe that our minds have a lot more going on in there than we know.

How can Gary Kasparov win a chess game against a computer that can calculate positions many moves further ahead than he can? By using his intuitive grasp of the game. His experience allows him to combine analysis with a “sense” of which move is best.

Intuition can also warn us. My wife and I felt we shoudn’t get on that bus in South America. We knew crowded busses were prime hunting grounds for pickpockets, and we saw the drunk man bumping into people. We didn’t think about these things consciously, but they registered in our minds, and warned us. We ignored our intuition, and I was robbed.

Of course, you can have a hunch for irrelevant reasons too. If you were hit by a taxi as a child, you might have “intuitive” hunches not to get into taxis for the rest of your life. So how do you know when to trust your intuition?

Three Simple Steps To Better Intuition

1. Watch for it. You’ll have hunches and ideas more often. I bought a conversion van, and now I see them all over. Have you had a similar experience? The same process will happen if you watch for your intuition – you’ll start to see more of it.

2. Question it. If I had asked myself why I felt bad about that bus, I might have thought, “Oh yeah, crowded busses are a bad idea. I know that.” Try to see in which areas your intuition works best, or not at all. If, for example, your hunches about people are always wrong, don’t follow them.

3. Give it good information. Your skill, knowledge and experience determine the potential effectiveness of your intuition. A weak chess player will never intuitively beat that computer. So learn enough about a subject, before you expect any good hunches. Remember the programmer’s maxim: garbage in – garbage out.

Do these three things and you’ll have more useful intuition more often.

Dancing On Your Brain

October 2, 2013, 12:00 AM

By: Maya Talisman Frost

My grandmother used to say that the secret to living a good life is maintaining a flexible spine and a flexible mind. Whether we’re talking about joints or brains, there’s just no room for rigidity.

Mark Twain once made a comment that illustrates my grandmother’s idea perfectly. He said:

“It is discouraging to try to penetrate a mind like yours. You ought to get it out and dance on it. That would take some of the rigidity out of it.”

That’s exactly what we need to do in order to be open to new ideas. We’ve got to take our brains out and dance on them! Do the twist. Do a little clogging. Tap. Cha-Cha. Shake it like a Polaroid picture.

We all know people whose brains we’d like to flamenco. And if we’re honest, we’ll admit to needing to have our own brain danced upon from time to time.

It’s not that we set out to be rigid. We establish certain thinking patterns and we build whole belief systems that may or may not serve us well. At some point, we get complacent, lazy, or just plain clueless about the boxes we’ve built for ourselves.

We humans have an interesting way of hanging on to old thoughts and beliefs. We end up with a cupboard full of ideas past their shelf life-unexamined, unused, but still taking up space.

Our thoughts become incredibly repetitive as certain cues pop up in the course of the day.

Let’s say that every morning, you listen to the news, full of turmoil and despair, and it reminds you that you’re not sure if you want to have a child with so much uncertainty in the world. Then you get in the shower and get ready for work, and as you look in the mirror, you realize you aren’t getting any younger, and maybe you’d better make that decision to have kids now while you still can. And then, as you drive to work, you pass a school, and you calculate how old you’ll be when your child is the same age as the students you see. Then you get to the office and wonder how you’d be able to juggle work and a family at the same time.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Every single day.

That’s just one example. There are many. It could be about your job, your weight, your relationships-you know the top ten things on your own mental list. No matter what you’re facing in life, you have cues that bring it up for you again and again. You thought about it yesterday, you’re thinking about it today, and you’re going to think about it again tomorrow.

What if you did some applied thinking? Not just that casual sort of obsessing you do daily, but serious applied thought?

We need to learn how to think more efficiently and effectively. Dr. Edward de Bono is a former Rhodes scholar who was on the faculty at Cambridge, Oxford, and Harvard universities. He is considered the world’s foremost authority on creative thinking.

Okay, the guy’s brilliant. But the cool thing about de Bono is that he wasn’t interested in revealing his method only to those who breathed the rarified air of the world’s finest universities. He was passionate about developing a way to teach creative thinking that was so simple even a five-year-old could benefit from it.

He coined the term “lateral thinking” and set about developing clear, visual ways to enhance the way we think. He uses the image of a car. Just because you’re in a good, quality car does not mean you are a good driver. You must learn how to drive. Some people are better than others, but everyone can acquire a reasonable amount of skill. You must have the desire to learn and spend time practicing. Once you become good at it, it’s easy and enjoyable.

De Bono believes that good thinkers aren’t born-they’re made. He says there are two dangerous fallacies: that if you’re intelligent, you don’t need to do anything about your thinking, and that if you have a more humble intelligence level, there’s nothing you can do about your thinking.

De Bono inspires us to develop a broad view. The broader your knowledge base, the better your thinking. De Bono actually came up with the phrase, “think outside the box”–but don’t hold that against him! It remains a clear image and a permanent part of our language because it immediately conveys the concept of stepping out of our regular patterns.

Do your own lateral thinking to see where it leads. When you find yourself stuck in your thoughts-of-the-day cycle, go wide. Jump the track. Consciously take your thoughts in a new direction.

Decide on a certain cue-say, whenever you look in the mirror and notice wrinkles or gray hair-and instead of your usual “I’m-getting-so-old” lament, picture yourself with white hair and crinkly eyes. Imagine the things you’ll be doing when you’re old. Escape into a reverie of the dreams you see coming true and the loving friends and family surrounding you. Stop dreading the process and focus on that brilliant 85-year-old who will be amazing and amusing everyone.

Your bones need lateral motion, and so does your brain. You can walk for miles and miles, but unless you add some sideways action, you’re grinding your hipbones in their sockets. Linear thought will get you where you think you want to go, but you will have missed out on tremendous opportunities for gaining perspective.

You’re going to keep on thinking until the day you die. Why not be a bit intentional about it? Pick your cue, and engage in a full-on effort to replace a repetitive thought cycle with an interesting new twist.

Take your brain out to dance in this daring new direction. Flex and stretch it at every opportunity. Feel it becoming more limber, supple, and–why not?–sexy.

Cha-cha-cha, Grandma!
