As I’ve mentioned in a previous blog, everyday I like to pull a single card from my new tarot deck and give myself a “Daily Focus” reading. This type of reading is good for a few reasons; one it doesn’t take a lot of time so if you have a busy schedule you can do it in the amount of time it takes to brush your teeth, and two it really does help me find what I need to focus on and pay close attention to that day.

This morning I shuffled my deck and asked what my focus should be on, cut the cards and chose The Five of Wands.

As I read what the card represented I chuckled a bit knowing that Monday’s are very busy for me, especially today. I have a to-do list a mile long and as I clocked in this morning I panicked a bit wondering how I was going to get all of the tasks completed but then I thought of my daily focus card.

The Meaning of The Five of Wands:

What it represents- Feeling scattered, lack of focus, feeling lost.

The five of wands is a card of conflict. I may find myself scattered and distracted, tending to everything and nothing. Wands usually deal with goals so the conflict resides within. Take this card as a warning: find ways to bring calm to my mind or these problems will increase.

What I got from this was that I needed to take a few minutes to myself and get my mind right before starting some of my tasks. I made myself some tea, did a few jumping jacks to get my blood pumping and relieve some stress, then started with easy tasks like replying to emails etc. I know I tend to get overwhelmed easily and pulling this card today helped me see that I need to take time to myself so that I don’t…basically have a nervous breakdown. Haha.

These daily focus readings really help open your eyes to bigger things that might be causing you troubles in your everyday life. Take time for yourself if you feel overwhelmed. Things will get done.

Writing this blog is one more thing off my checklist. See, making progress.

Picking up where I left off Monday, I stated I’ve been getting familiar with the tarot and giving myself different spreads and readings to learn the cards and their meanings. Well today I gave myself a 3 card spread. 3 card spreads are great because they are simple and quick and answer questions quickly.

3 Card spreads cover past, present, and future possible outcome. I love using this spread when I have a question that i need a straight, simple answer for.

Recently I have been giving a lot of thought to making a serious life change and uprooting my life across the country. I’ve spoken to a couple of Foretell’s psychics about it and they have all given me great hope about it but today I wanted to ask the cards myself. So I did just that.

3 Cards, one Question; “Will moving to Colorado be a good life choice for me?”

I was pleased to pull the 3 cards I did because they were pretty nail on the head. I was not surprised to see the first card I pulled representing influences from the past that still affect the situation was the 5 of pentacles which represents worry and anxiety. It can mean financial hardships and fear of rejection. Two things I am very worried about moving across the country. I need to seek out meditation and find peace in these worrisome times.

The 2nd card I pulled representing the present was the 7 of pentacles. This card is for a period of contemplation (pretty perfect, right?). There’s a lot of uncertainty and reflecting taking place now in my life and I’m weighing out the pros and cons of staying and leaving. Reflecting on all the time I’ve spent in one place and wondering why I’m still broke when all I do is work or why I’m still single… wondering if there’s more for me somewhere different. Thinking period.

The last card I pulled was the Ace of Swords. I was relieved to  see this card as it represents mental clarity. The 3rd card is the future outcome card so I know that no matter what I know that I will be able to see with a new set of eyes and have a positive new outlook on life no matter where I am. All of this reflecting will make me see things in a whole new light and bring me the mental clarity I need and if I do end up in Colorado it will be where I need to be to find PEACE of mind.

Recently I received a new tarot deck and I have been trying to become familiar with the cards and their meanings by giving myself daily readings. Sometimes I will give myself different spreads and do a full on reading but I have gotten into the habit of no matter how busy I am, everyday I make sure I turn to my deck and pull a “daily focus” card.

Everyday I get out my tarot deck and shuffle the cards and ask “What should I focus on today?” or I will ask “What is in store for me today?” and then I will cut the deck and pull the top card.

Today I was very happy to pull the 9 of Cups. It’s always a nice card to see as it represents bliss and harmony. The 9 of cups is known as the card that grants wishes and banishes fears and worries. Good health, happiness and possibly even material gains could be headed my way.

I’ll take it.

DIY Springtime Projects

1. Letter Planters- These are especially fun for kids or if you’re having a party this spring and want to jazz up your yard. They sell cardboard letters at any craft store. First you will need to cut the top off with a serrated knife then poke some holes in the bottom of the letter(s) for draining water.

Fill the letter(s) up about halfway with your dirt. Now you can arrange your flowers however you want around the letters and then top off the rest of the way with more dirt and you’re done!

2. Suncatcher Wind Chimes- This is fun because you get to go on a bit of a scavenger hunt for some of the items you will be needing. You’re going to need to find a sturdy stick that’s about 6-8 inches long, some colorful flowers, leaves, stones and rocks, look for things that are relatively small in size aside from the stick but look for things with different colors, shapes, and textures. You will also need some things from your house like scissors, contact paper, string or any type of cord, rings from mason jars, and a pen. On the paper side, take your mason car rings and contact paper and trace rings for as many rings as you have. Peel off the sticky side of the contact paper and stick onto a surface. Take the stuff you found on your hunt and stuck it to the contact paper then once you’re finished place another piece of contact paper on top. Press down firmly so that it sticks wherever it can. Cut along the circles you traced then stick it in the mason lid ring. Tie your cord around the rings and then fasten the other end of the cord to the stick and hang it up on your porch.

3. Simple Flower Pot- This project is fast and simple and costs about $2-$3. You just need an empty can of tunafish or something about that size and some clothes pins. If you want to get really fancy you can get some paint and paint the clothes pins but its not necessary.

So, SUPER SIMPLE, take your clothes pins and stick them around the can then dump in a bit of dirt and either some seeds or flowers and there you go…you’re done. You have a cute little flower pot.

De-Clutter Your Home In 5 Days

March 23, 2015, 4:33 AM

It’s that time of year when we start Spring cleaning and decide what goes and what stays. It’s often a battle deciding this and this leads to too much clutter because we don’t end up getting rid of nearly as much as we could or should.

I just moved back home so I’ve been downsizing for the past 6 months. Donating items and selling whatever I can here and there so my tiny little space isn’t too bad but it still needs improvement. The rest of the house however, that’s a whole other story. I’m trying to help my mom this spring do this 5 day kick clutter task so we can live stress free and feel good in the space we live.

It’s simple anyone can do it. I’ll break it down for you by room. Start off easy.

DAY 1- Hallway:

Entryway or Mudroom- One of my pet peeves is junk mail EVERYWHERE! We tend to get the mail and toss it down as soon as we walk in the door, right? Install those file holders to your wall and make that where you put your mail everyday when you come in. It will get you into the habit of going through it when it gets full.

Are there shoes randomly strewn about? Go to Walmart and spend $10 and get a shoe rack so the shoes can be kept in there orderly. If you don’t have a garage or a closet for any outdoor items (sporting goods, exercise equipment like yoga mats or jump ropes etc.) look for an entryway bench with storage at your local thrift shop.

Closets- Often hallway closets become more than just a place to hang our jackets or linen closets. Go through them and get rid of anything you haven’t used in the last year. Donate what you can. Toss the rest. Simple. You will Marvel at how much space you just saved.

DAY 2- Bathroom:

Medicine Cabinet- First and foremost check the expiration dates on medications, if they’re expired toss them immediately. If you have any space wasters like lotions that you tried once but didn’t like but kept anyways toss them. Don’t keep saying “I’m holding onto this for so-and-so.” It’s been in there for 6 months and you’ve seen them at least a dozen times. Toss it already. Worn down Razors, toss. You get the picture. When you’re done wipe down the mirror. Boom, Medicine cabinet done!

Shower- I’ll admit, I’m pretty bad at forgetting to bring out the empty shampoo and conditioner bottles when I should so they get left in the tiny shower and take up space that can be used for new bottles. Instead they get knocked over. So, don’t be like me. Clean out any empty bottles of shampoo and conditioner, body washes, shaving creams, etc. if you don’t have a shower caddy I suggest in investing in one they are a life saver as well as an obvious space saver.

Under the Sink/Bathroom Storage Area- Organize it. Whatever you have in there make sure your extra toilet paper is in one spot. Any bathroom cleaning supplies are not leaking everywhere. Brushes, hair ties, makeup, etc. make sure you have a designated space for everything and that it is organized and easy to access.

Day 3- Kitchen:

Drawers- Clean them out. While you have everything out go through and toss out anything that might not be of use anymore like a burnt up spatula or a broken serving spoon.

Cabinets- Straighten up pots and pans, throw away old, burnt up ones. Organize storage containers thin like that.

Fridge and Freezer- Check expiration dates on everything especially condiments. Toss anything you can. Wipe down shelves, drawers and doors.

Day 4- Living Room:

Shelves- Make sure they are doing their job of just being used to display books, pictures, the things you want on there and not a place for random things to find a new home. Wipe them down and make sure things are arranged neatly.

Storage Furniture- Give it a quick scan see if you really need everything thats in there. If you don’t, donate or toss it.

Final day, Day 5- Bedrooms:

Closets- Anything you haven’t worn in the last year, donate it. Make sure your clothes all have a place on a hanger or in a drawer and shoes as well. get storage boxes if you have a lot of odds and ends and need a place to put extra stuff without it looking messy.

Dressers/night stands- Make sure there aren’t random things strewn on top of them. make sure they are wiped down and only have the basics on them. Extra clutter when first waking up sets the mood for the whole day. seeing clutter stresses you out and its not a fun way to start everyday.

There you go. The 5 major areas of a typical house or apartment. If you have more areas in your living space you pretty much get the gist I hope. It’s simple. Happy spring cleaning.

Welcome Our Great New Psychics!

As the psychic manager here at Psychics Foretell I am always trying to seek out fresh talent to join our long list of accurate wonderful psychics already on the line. It’s not always an easy task as there are a lot of fakes out there but there are also some god ones but they just don’t quite have the level of accuracy or professionalism we are looking for on our line to make the cut.

We test each applicant that applies to our line with great care and take it very seriously so that we make sure we can provide you with a great variety of psychics to choose from. Throughout our time working here we as CSR’s are also to get a couple readings often (on top of testing applicants) so that we can give customers honest feedback about certain psychics and our personal experiences with them. Example, if a customer were to ask me how Amy was and I never had a reading with her I would be able to say “if you’re looking for someone who is very direct and straight to the point she’s great. She was very accurate with me personally when it came to finances.”

I like being able to do this for our customers. I feel like they appreciate us giving our input as well. I will be completely honest and if they ask “who’s your best medium?” I will not single out one psychic because we have a lot of really great mediums on the line I will give them my honest top 3 to choose from and why I think each one is good.

Now, back to what I was saying in the beginning of this article about hiring new talent. Over the last 2 months we have been so lucky and hired on 5 new psychics that are excellent. I don’t know where this stroke of luck came from but I am so excited to welcome them all to the Foretell family. The feedback for them so far has been great. We also tested one last night who was referred to us by one of the new hires and he was very good so expect another addition this coming week.

You can check out our new psychics Alexander, Anjelica, Lana, Melissa, Sandy, and Shey by visiting our Find A Psychic tab on PsychicsForetell.com and reading their bio’s or by calling into 1-800-873-7073 and asking one of our customer service reps for more info. Definitely try them out and we encourage you to leave a testimonial for them by emailing your feedback to feedback@foretellpsychics.com.

Honk For Love

January 12, 2015, 8:10 AM

I write a lot of blogs telling about my involvement with the Acts of Kindness movement and I feel it’s important to keep that going all year round in different ways. I’ve participated in a lot of fun events and different things to try to help spread love and happiness around the community and am always recruiting friends along too.

Yesterday me and a group of friends stood outside our local Whole Foods for an hour with signs that said “Honk for Love”. We got a great response and it was a great feeling every time someone honked and we knew we saw we had made a bunch of drivers smile or even just laugh at the idiots standing out in 30 degree weather holding up signs asking people to honk at them.

As I was standing out there yesterday I was thinking to myself I’ve been that girl in her car in traffic crying or pissed off because everything I’ve bottled up has come out at once and at that moment I am alone in my car and I feel like crying. If I saw a bunch of people on the side of the road while I was in that state holding up signs like we were it would have cheered me up for sure.

You never know who is having one of those days that’s why I say smile at everyone (especially the grumps) and continue to be kind and spread some kindness and love daily even in the littlest way. And if you and your friends, co-workers, or family want to get out and make some signs and do your own Honk for Love tell us about it! We would love to hear how it made you feel and see your pictures.
